Privacy & data practices
Effective October 1, 2026. Clarus Biotech Review is an editorial publication connected to BioClarus Consulting. Contact us through our contact form about these practices or your account.
Reading and participation
Reading is public. Participation uses ChatGPT sign-in. We associate an account identifier with comments, reactions, follows and saved articles. Public display names, optional affiliations and biographies, and published comments are visible to other readers. Company name and work title are required participation fields kept in the owner-only user directory. They do not automatically appear on public profiles.
Contact inquiries
The contact form collects your name, reply email, optional company, job title and phone, inquiry topic, subject and message. When automatic sending is configured, these details are transmitted through our email provider to editor@clarusreview.bio. An accepted submission confirms provider acceptance, not inbox delivery. Inquiry content is not stored in the website database or published. Limited, short-lived hashed identifiers and attempt counts help prevent abuse. Messages retained in the editorial mailbox and email-provider records are handled separately; contact the editor to request deletion. The email-draft option opens your own email application and requires you to send the message there. Contact inquiries do not enroll you in marketing.
Email preferences
Newsletter signup is optional and separate from participation. If selected, your signed-in account email and consent timestamp are stored with your selected topics. Newsletter delivery is not enabled yet. You can withdraw the preference in your reading list.
Measurement and advertising
Optional first-party measurement counts page views and engaged reading by page and day. It stores no IP address, device identifier or browsing profile. You choose whether to enable this measurement on your device and can change the choice in the footer. Counts can include repeat visits and are not unique-user measurements. No advertising or external analytics scripts are currently enabled. Hosting and identity services may process technical information under their own policies.
Storage, retention and access
Content, community records and preferences are stored using the website’s hosting infrastructure. Private database snapshots support recovery; image files are versioned with website source. Access to private records and snapshots is restricted to the publication owner. Account records remain until removed or a deletion request is processed. Daily maintenance removes database snapshots older than 90 days once its scheduler is activated. Until then, the administrator must run maintenance manually. Independent downloaded copies require their own retention controls. Some moderation or audit records may be retained for discussion integrity; requests will receive individual review.
Your choices
Download your account records or submit a deletion request from your reading list. Removing a comment preserves a placeholder for thread structure. Contact BioClarus Consulting for corrections, questions, or requests you cannot complete through your account.
Changes
New advertising, analytics or email services require an update to these practices and any applicable consent controls before activation.
